When is the last chance you were able to sit down with 6 different world class Cabernets and talk about them with the winemaker?

Two DrinkAbouts this month
OPTION #1
This month the bars of DrinkAbout are teaming up for our annual Pints for Prostates event. This time we're doing it on Father's Day to toast Dads.
According to the American Cancer Society....
Other than skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men. The latest American Cancer Society estimates for prostate cancer in the United States are for 2012:
- About 241,740 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed
- About 28,170 men will die of prostate cancer
About 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime.
Prostate cancer occurs mainly in older men. Nearly two thirds are diagnosed in men aged 65 or older, and it is rare before age 40. The average age at the time of diagnosis is about 67.
Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in American men, behind only lung cancer. About 1 man in 36 will die of prostate cancer.
The event will start at 1pm and go for about 4 hours. During that time each bar will donate $1 per beer sold. Please be sure to tell them you're there for Pints for Prostates and ask if there are any specials or restrictions.

We'll also have are monthly event on Wednesday the 20th. Yep, that makes two chances to get on the bus. We will always be running the bus on the 3rd Wednesday of every month unless we announce otherwise. BUS, BUS, GET ON THE BUS.

T!T! & BLAH in the Press
Looks like summer's about to hit and San Diego is on everyone's minds. Or is it beer that's on their minds? Either way, we love the press. "In addition to downtown and Hillcrest, there's North Park, where craft beer and well-wrought sandwiches await at Tiger! Tiger!" And, how are things on the East Coast? Looks like they might be sitting in their cubicles daydreaming about West Coast beers. "If Hamiltons shuts out the bright Southern Californian light in classic pub style, the Blind Lady Ale House, in the Normal Heights neighborhood, invites it in with plenty of communal tables near its big plate-glass windows..." BOULEVARD NIGHTS
El Cajon Boulevard and 30th Street, now being coined ‘The West End' is filling in quite nicely. Over the past year alone, the Media Arts Center and Tiger! Tiger! opened, and then, just in the last month, we're seeing a brand new café, the Coffee & Tea Collective, and well as The Homebrewer, a brewing supply store. With so many great neighborhood serving businesses in one place, the El Cajon Boulevard BIA, in partnership with member businesses are kicking off ‘Boulevard Nights', an evening to showcase local artists, filmmakers, a home brewing competition and a good old neighborhood block party.

A four day event that positions "the neighborhood" as a fluid institution of creative production, critical thinking and intersecting interests. Collaborations between artists, residents, small businesses, universities and local activists will culminate in a series of workshops, talks, installations, performances and tours that center around the North Park neighborhood of San Diego, with satellite events at the UCSD campus and the San Diego Museum of Art (in conjunction with the opening night of the Summer Salon Series).

I WANT TO RIDE MY BICYCLE
So much stuff going on, let's go day by day and start with TODAY-
WEDNESDAY
DrinkAbout is tonight. At TIGER! TIGER! we have a cask of Founders / Green Flash collab called Linchpin (a white ipa).
At BLAH we have a $5 margheritas (the pizza, duh), but you have to ask. It's a secret. Shhh. And only till 7pm.
FRIDAY
It's bike to work week and so we are giving 15% instead of our usual 10% if you ride your bike. and B2W culminates on friday with dealios on friday. At BLAH we up the discount to 20% and at TIGER!TIGER! we are serving up a $2.50 hangar 24 cask. But only if you wear your B2W t-shirt, or show your B2W schwag or flaunt your B2W check-in sticker. Otherwise, no $2.50 deal.
Oh, and word is that Fox5 will be at T!T! at 6:45am to shoot for the live from the boulevard segment.
Oh Oh, and the other word is that KUSI will be at BLAH at 6am to do a story on Bike To Work Day and the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition. Super Nice!

SATURDAY
At TIGER! TIGER! we are opening early, at 11 am, for the UEFA Finals! BAYERN MUNCHE vs CHELSEA. BIG screen with BIG sound.
Saturday is also Bike the Boulevard. If you go on it, you will are scheduled to stop at T!T! from 3-4. We will have Celis White for $3 for that hour to celebrate BTB.
At BLAH we will have a Founders Flight when we open at 11:30 am. Also we will have Lunchpin, that's a lunchtime offering of the Green Flash/Founders Linchpin - say that 5 times fast. Ha. Really, that just means we will have Linchpin on at lunchtime at BLAH, but it's so fun to say Lunchpin.
SUNDAY
The jam-packed weekend continues with the Festival o' fArts, we mean Arts, in North Park on Sunday. The beer garden is open 11-6 and Lee will be there with the latest Automatic Brewing creation. Thing Belgian wheat, tangerines, kumquats and maybe some other fresh and fruitiness thrown in at the last minute. Oh, and T!T! is just a short walk from the festival. Nice.
Also there is brunch and doughnuts at T!T! We have coffee now on sundays and we like to highlight / showcase different local coffee roasters, including our neighbors Calabria AND the new guy on the boulevard, the Coffee & Tea Collective, who are open for service as of Wednesday! Speaking of those doughnuts, people are talking 'bout them all over facebook. It's pretty darn flattering (to our sous Sharon Wilson, who makes 'em that is) and yeah, they're vegan. We only make them (for now) on sundays.

We are gonna open for lunches at BLAH for Summer, as in Tuesday-Sunday starting June 19. More info to come as we get closer. but now we have said it out loud so we have to do it!

SEZIO APRIL FOOLS
On Sunday, April 1st Sezio is hosting an experimental art show at Tiger! Tiger! in North Park. We've challenged a handful of San Diego's most recognizable artists to create one piece of art outside of their comfort zone, far removed from their trademark style. Each piece will be on display this Sunday at Tiger! Tiger!, but there will be no names declaring who made each work of art.
Your job is to show up, and try to match each of these artists to the piece they created: Niko, David Adey, Mike Maxwell, Eric Wixon, Wes Bruce, Kelli Murray, and Joshua Krause. *Guests who can match the most will win a variety of prizes, from tickets to Youth Lagoon and Bowerbirds to gift certificates to Blind Lady Ale House and Tiger! Tiger!
