Owner/Brewer Mark Jilg will treat us to a flight of six expertly-crafted beers, with presentation and Q&A session. Jilg has been making great beers in Pasadena since the mid 90s. He’s one of the most creative brewers in the country, quietly crafting tasty beers in a small warehouse in Pasadena. Expect this to be a mini-seminar on wood-aged beer, sours, styles, the-art-of-beer, and respect for the senses. Few people care more about the craft of brewing than Mark. If you enjoy beer, art, philosophy, and brewers’ insight, you will want to join us on the new Tiger! backyard patio. Assigning Heather to this event while it’s happening (to bring pitchers, rinse water, glasses, etc.) *For the flight we will serve 5-ounces per beer

Avery Barrel-Aged Event
On the back patio at 5pm, $40
Show up early and register at the bar or guarantee yourself a spot by preregistering at http://tigeraveryflighttasting.brownpapertickets.com/

These beers will not be available to the general public. Enjoy six Barrel-Aged beers from Avery Brewing Co in Boulder. Andy Parker, the man in charge of all-things-barrel at Avery Brewing Co will be presenting the beers and answering questions from our small group of just less than thirty people. Think of this as part tasting, part classroom, part social gathering. Educational, delicious, and fun. If you like Barrel-Aged Beer and learning something about them, this is an event for you. Plus, you will get to take home a sweet lil’ Avery Brewing Co. Keeper Glass-- it’s one of the good ones.
Bottles include:
Brabant (a Brett beer)
Depuceleuse (a brett beer with fruit)
Dihos (a lactic-forward sour)
Odio (a lactic-forward sour with fruit
Immitis (a lactic/acetic sour)
Oud Floris (a blended sour with lactic and acetic.)
You’re simply not going to see these beers together elsewhere.

All six beers in this tasting are one-off projects.  Every one of them is from Avery's series of beers that are designed to never make any of them again! There are simply too many other great experiments to run and beers to make.  In the case of something like Oud Floris, Brewmaster Andy Parker says, "I couldn't make it again if I tried... that was a one-time blend of four different projects from 3 different years."

In fact, Avery themselves are down to less than eight cases of any of these!

This is a rare chance to sit down and parse out the flavors of wild and sour beers. There are a lot of misunderstandings about what kinds of microorganisms are making different flavors, and here is a chance to sit down with six different beers and their different characteristics.  When is the last chance you were able to sit down with 6 different world class Cabernets and talk about them with the winemaker?

WEDNESDAY, NOV 7TH 5pm-Close
Rare Beer Night
We are pulling from our secret supply. We will put rare beers from Allagash, Craftsman, Russian River, Dogfish, Firestone, Sierra Nevada and more on.
Available by the glass (not flights.)  List to be determined 11/6 midday.

GreenFlash Hop-o-Rama SHoWCaSE 5pm-Close
We will have some of Green Flash’s hoppiest beers on, available by the glass. Same beers that are available for the BPT event.

Flight Tasting Session w/ Brewmaster Chuck Silva
5:30-7:30pm on the back patio, $22
Show up early and pay at the bar or guarantee yourself a spot by preregistering at
http://tigergreenflashtasting.brownpapertickets.com/
Chuck Silva guides a tasting of Hoppy Beers from his brewery, with presentation and Q&A Session. Beers include
30th Street
Cedar Plank (a cedar-aged 30th St.)
HopHead Red
West Coast IPA
Imperial IPA
Hamilton’s 6th Anniversary IPA.
Think of it as a mini-Seminar, where Silva will share the secrets on how to taste (and create) truly amazing hoppy beers. Patio closed till 7:30.
